Ciao, Tutti!
I know. Don't look at me like that.
Instead of making excuses for having not having posted in a while, I'll give you all my newest story, in its third draft, entitled, "A Fascinating Line." It's good. My writing has been getting better every day, and, as a result, everything is taking longer to do since I'm noticing more and more things. So you might be impressed with how much my style has changed lately, impressed enough, perhaps, to forgive me for not posting in nearly a month.
I've got plenty of ideas for short stories, which this blog is seemingly devoted to, now, and I've written first drafts of enough to fill a small collection. So maybe, if school doesn't slow me down, I'll be posting more soon. Keep your eyes peeled! Like lemons.
I am back in New York, and I have fallen back into insomnia. I've been trying all the little trick, but the fact of the matter is that 7 hours of sleep in California is not the same as 7 hours of sleep in New York. No matter how long I sleep I always wake up tired like I'm going to the airport for a red-eye. It's dry, and my allergies haven't gone away, which means it might actually be a cold. Plus it's cold, but not too bad, since the snow makes it pretty and it's not in single digits yet.
So, without further ado, "A Fascinating Line," folks!
Where to find my other stories
The other stories are in the archives somewhere along the left-hand side of my blog, intermingled with the pictures I took in Europe and shameless self-promotion.
"Sam Fails to Finish a Love Story" is under the post entitled "Sam Fails to Finish a Love Story" (duh) in the month of November.
"The VideoMag Proposal" is under the post entitled "The Day Before November" in October. It's a long post and the story is near the bottom.
"Cliche Central" is under the post entitled "Art Sharing Day" in October.
"Group Therapy" is under the post entitled "Short - Group Therapy" in December
My four sudden fiction pieces are under "Winter Victory Dance - Sudden Fiction" in December.
My brother's sudden fiction, "On The Way To Work," is under the post entitled "On The Way To Work - My Brother, The Storyteller" in November.
A Fascinating Line
For reasons of submission and, hopefully, publication, I have removed this story from the blog. Your heart will go on. Maybe.
Fine
Time to go swimming, or play basketball, or make something of my life, or rescue a drowning kid, or something other than sit in front of this computer. Hope you enjoyed the story. I certainly had fun writing it, and each time I rewrote I laughed louder.
A doppo,
